Me & Fiadh- my Irish Canadian girl, youngest of 9 grandkids

Cohousing dreams started for me about age 8. I asked my parents “why can’t all the neighbours on our street live together and share stuff?”.  My mom said they knew I’d eventually make that wish a reality.

I grew up in Nuchal nuth territory I call the Alberni Valley my home town, though I’ve lived in London England, spent time in Ireland, New Zealand, Tokyo, Ethiopia, Vienna, Sydney Australia, places across Canada, especially Newfoundland and lately Sidney BC.

Creating community became my reality, whether in River Road playground near Tseshat Nation, or at the University of Victoria where I was fortunate to be a professor, Human Rights Advisor, Family Centre Faculty Lead, or in Countryside Co- op Preschool, and Restorative Justice.

Now we all get to create Esquimalt Village Cohousing. Please consider joining us.
