Associate Member Agreement

I want to be part of creating a cohousing community in the Greater Victoria Area.  As an associate member I will explore the possibility of becoming an equity member by participating as fully as possible in this initiative. I understand that as an Associate Member:

• I can actively participate in the planning and tasks involved in the development of the community.

• I am welcome and encouraged to participate fully in discussions, but I do not have the right to vote.

• I agree that all information provided on the private website and at meetings is confidential and for the exclusive use of Esquimalt Village Cohousing and is not to be disseminated in any form outside of the group.

• I have no claim on a residence in the project and that I will need to qualify financially in order to become an Equity Member. 

• If I choose to become an Equity Member I will be required to sign the legal and financial agreements associated with Equity Membership and the $500 that I have paid will be credited towards that membership.

• If I have any questions or concerns, it is recommended to seek legal counsel to review the agreements before signing them.

I hereby submit a non-refundable Associate Membership fee of $500. This fee covers a 3-month period and a copy of the book Community Led Housing: A Cohousing Development Approach. The fee is payable by cheque mailed to PO Box 5142 1845B Fort Street, Victoria BC V8R 6N4 or e-transfer to info@evcohousing.ca
