A Place to Put Down Roots

Esquimalt Village Cohousing will be located at 1140–1148 Esquimalt Road, in the heart of Esquimalt, BC. This central location supports a walkable, well-connected neighbourhood with easy access to everyday services, transit, and the greater Victoria region.

In November 2025, we officially closed on our future home site—one of the most important milestones in forming a cohousing community. This achievement marks a meaningful step forward as Esquimalt Village Cohousing moves from vision to reality.

The rezoning for Esquimalt Village Cohousing was approved by the council in July 2026. Having cleared this significant milestone, we are proceeding with obtaining permits for the construction of our custom-designed community.

The proposed plans emphasize generous indoor and outdoor common spaces that support shared meals, gatherings, and everyday connection—core to how Esquimalt Village Cohousing will live and grow together.
